Jailma Bulhões Campos

Jailma Bulhões Campos got her graduation in Arts & Humanities with a major in Portuguese, in 2003, and a master’s degree in Linguistic Studies in 2006, both from the Federal University of Para, where she is a professor and a researcher since 2011. She is currently a PhD student in the Doctoral Program in Multimedia in Education at the University of Aveiro and her thesis is focused in the use of gamification as an active strategy in the engagement and motivation of students with dyslexia in learning of reading skills.

As a teacher, Jailma has been working with the creation of pedagogic interventions using digital technologies in the teaching of the Portuguese language in schools in the amazon region in Brazil. Her main interests are related to gamification in education, digital inclusion of students with learning difficulties, and also, teachers’ training in the cyberculture.
